

Daytona Beach Housing Authority Housing Programs
The Daytona Beach Housing Authority (DBHA) provides housing services to Volusia County through the Affordable Housing, Housing Choice Voucher ( Section 8) and Mixed-Income Housing Programs.

Who is eligible
Anyone may complete an application for any of the DBHA Housing Programs. All applicants must complete a screening interview, and be determined eligible to participate. The Eligibility criteria for admission are as follows:

Income limits: Income may not exceed current income limits. Check the most current limits click here.

Background check: A background check of criminal history, eviction records, ability to pay rent on time, and maintain a clean and healthy home. This will be verified by current and previous landlords and references.

Family composition: Households are assigned a specific number of bedrooms based on family size, usually 1-2 people per bedroom.

Identification: All adult household members must have a valid photo ID.

Social Security number/citizenship: Each household member must have a Social Security Card, and document that he/she is a U.S. citizen, and have eligible immigration status.
How Do I Apply for Housing
At this time our agency is accepting applications for the Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) and Affordable Housing Programs (Public Housing). All applications must be completed online. To complete an application, click here.

The Daytona Beach Housing Authority has partnered with the local libraries, homeless shelters, and our Neighborhood Network Centers to allow interested persons easy access to computers with internet access to complete the on-line application. For a list of our partnering agencies click here.

Elderly/Disabled Housing:The Daytona Beach Housing Authority has designated all housing units at Windsor and Maley Apartments, for elderly and/or disabled residents. The head or co-head of the household must be 62 years of age or older or disabled depending on the community.

Please note that due to the Designation of Windsor and Maley Apartments for elderly and disabled families, the 0/1-bedroom waiting list is closed to all other applicants.
