Leasing with Housing Choice Voucher (HCV)
With funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, DBHA’s Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program helps low-income households choose and pay for quality housing in the private market by paying a portion of their rent.
.
Inspection Excellence Program
In an effort to reward those who have demonstrated that they are extraordinary partners in the HCV Program, we have created an Inspection Excellence Program that provides a number of exclusive benefits.
Owner Portal
Owners, track in-progress moves, review inspections appointments, get inspection result, view payment statements and more.
Project Based Vouchers
Project-based assistance is different in that you must live in a specific building in order to receive help in paying your rent. Initially you must live in the designated building to receive rental assistance, but after one year of occupancy, you may be eligible to receive a tenant-based voucher if funding is available.
Market Your Property
Owners can market their property to Voucher Holders by registering it in the DBHA’s online database or listing it at any of the HCV Program Regional Offices. To ensure your property is marketed to the largest audience, it is best to register it online and at all Regional Office locations.
Check Inspection Status
You can now find out the date and timeframe of your next inspection on this website or through an automated call system or text message. All you need is your Inspection ID.
Pay Re-Inspection Fee
You do NOT need to pay for initial inspections, annual inspections, and emergency inspections.
